1. Boat Show Season is Here

Cannes. Annapolis. Fort Lauderdale. Miami. Whether you’re buying new or planning to shop pre-owned in a few years, boat shows are a great opportunity to get hands-on with new models, meet competent brokers, and actually see what’s out there, not just scroll through it.

It’s also a great time to get realistic about your budget, your timeline, and what’s actually doable.

2. Best Time of Year

Hurricane season ends on November 1. That’s when serious cruising begins.

If you want to be out on the water this winter, seeing stunning new places, connecting with nature, or waking up at anchor off the coast of remote beaches, you need to start vetting your options now.

That means vetting models, comparing layouts, and connecting with a broker who can help you sort what’s online from what’s actually worth seeing.

3. Market Shift

It’s been a weird year. Tariff uncertainty, sellers clinging to post-COVID pricing, and buyer hesitation. But that’s changing. As we head into fall, prices are starting to move. Sellers are getting more flexible. Serious offers are being accepted.

If you’ve been waiting- now is the time to jump back in.

4) Ex-Charter Yacht Inventory

Ex-charter yachts from the Moorings are selling. These yachts continue to hold fair market pricing and continue to prove a solid platform for cruisers looking to get started now, and looking for a good value entry-point. An uptick in As-is deals means especially good deals for buyers with some elbow grease.

5) You have to start sometime- why not now?

The weather’s turning. The listings are moving. The next season is calling.

So- why not now?

He went on to work as a charter captain in the Caribbean, running both day trips and extended charters alongside his wife. Now based in Fort Lauderdale, Dylan brings that hands-on experience to the brokerage.
